Principle of Reinforcement
This section covers the principle of reinforcement. Reinforcement occurs when a stimulus change immediately follows a response and increases the future frequency of that type of behavior in similar conditions. Reinforcement is broken down into positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement. The different forms of reinforcement will be discussed in-depth in the training section of the manual. This section will begin with some definitions and a brief discussion of the principle of reinforcement and a brief discussion of the different schedules of reinforcement.
